Aligning Objects
Aligning Objects
You can align selected objects with respect to one another or you can
align selected objects with respect to the output. Use the following
procedures to align objects.
To align objects to one another
1. Select the objects you want to align with respect to each other.
2. Select Align Objects from the Object menu, and select one of the
following:
• To align objects along a vertical line, select Left, Center, or
Right.
• To align objects along a horizontal line, select Top, Middle, or
Bottom.
• To align objects on the center point of the selection, select
Center Point.
Note: The objects are aligned relative to each other based on the
selected option. For example, if you choose Left, the selected
objects align on the left edge of the left-most object.
To center objects on an output
1. Select the object(s) you want to center.
2. Do one of the following:
• To center an object horizontally, select Center Horizontally
from the Object menu. This option is available only if you have
an output length set. For more information on setting output
length, see
Setting Specialty Output Attributes on page 5-13.
• To center an object vertically, select Center Vertically from the
Object menu.
