Using Metallic Ribbon with CMYK (Full
Color) Ribbon
The VisiMate™ System allows you to use specialty ribbon colors such as
metallic gold or silver with CMYK (full color) ribbons in standard text
boxes. In order to accomplish this, you need to set the colors you are
going to be using in the VisiMate™ print driver.
When you print the output, the printer will prompt for the ribbon you
should install. For example, if you wanted to print Gold Luster with
CMYK ribbon, you would select Full Color in the application Printer
color setting. For more information on setting the Printer color setting,
see the next section.
To set the VisiMate
print driver
1. Click Start on the Windows taskbar and then select
Settings|Printers.
2. Right-click on VisiMate.
Note: If you changed the name of your VisiMate™ printer, be sure to
select that printer name.
The VisiMate Properties dialog box appears.
3. On the General tab, click the Printing Preferences button.
4. Select Full Color from the Color Setting option.
Note: Changing the printer color setting in this location is the same as
setting the color on the status bar in the GalaRio™ application.

section,

page 13-4.
5. Click the Device Settings tab.
6. Click the Properties button located to the right of Color Options.
The Color Options dialog box appears.
