Using Supply Saver in the VisiMate

System

Supply saver printing refers to the process of automatically combining

smaller outputs on a page and arranging them for the best use of the

target media supply. A page is defined by the cut length plus the length

of the panel if using full color ribbon or the maximum print length if

using a monochrome ribbon. Each supply saver page consists of a

number of outputs printed together, either as a result of being combined

by you in the batch print process, or because they are generated from a

sequence, database, text list, or prompt at print time object.

The following is an example of how the supply saver option functions:

Standard The application prints outputs in the order they

appear in the print queue. If the output size of the

next output is larger than the remaining area, it

prints to a new page.

Use the following procedure to set up the supply saver feature.

To set up supply saver

1. Select Preferences from the Options menu.

2. Click the Program tab (Figure 4-7 on page 4-18).

3. Do one of the following:

• If you want to disable supply saver, select Off.

• If you want to set supply saver to print all outputs in the queue

in order, select Standard.

4. Click OK to select these settings.

Note: These settings will affect all of the outputs you print.
